Throughout his career, Ronaldo has won multiple individual awards, including five Ballon d’Or awards, the most for a European player and the most ever for a Portuguese player, and four European Golden Shoes. He has been named the best Portuguese player of all time by the Portuguese Football Federation, and in 2015 was the subject of the most expensive association football transfer when he signed for Juventus from Real Madrid. He is the only player to win four European Golden Shoes. He has scored over 700 senior career goals for club and country.
