There are many reasons why I prefer Lionel Messi to Cristiano Ronaldo.
First of all， Messi is a much better team player. He is always looking to pass and create opportunities for his fellow teammates to score， rather than trying to score himself. This has helped Barcelona win many trophies over the years. Messi is also incredibly talented and can make difficult passes and shots look easy. His dribbling skills and ability to find space are second to none.
In contrast， Cristiano Ronaldo is more of an individual player. He is always looking to score and will often take shots from distance， even when his teammates are in a better position. He is also not as creative as Messi and often relies on his powerful shots to score goals.
Finally， Messi has an incredible work ethic and is always looking to improve his game. He could have easily become complacent after achieving so much success， but his determination to be the best has meant he is still at the top of his game. Ronaldo， on the other hand， seems more content to rest on his laurels.
All in all， Messi is a much more complete player than Ronaldo and is more deserving of the title of the greatest soccer player of all time.
